Frequently Asked Questions » Commissions

01. Are you taking commissions?
Yes, but in limited quantities. I usually take ten at a time and announce when I am taking new batches at my deviantART gallery.

02. When will you be taking more? Will you let me know?
I don't know exactly when I will take new batches, it depends on however long it takes me to finish the current batch. And I'm afraid I can't contact every person that asks me to to let them know about it. But you can get a general idea of when it will be by keeping an eye on the work schedule on the commissions page.

03. What are the rates? Are they negotiable?
Please see the commission rates page. And no, they are not negotiable.

04. What payment methods do you accept?
I prefer PayPal, but I also accept money orders, personal checks, or cash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for sticky fingers at the post office.

05. What exactly do I get?
A large image file of whatever character you want me to draw. Whatever size I draw it at is what size you will get. Chibi commissions will be at least 700 pixels high at 72dpi and full figure commissions will be 8 inches high at 300dpi.

06. Can I get a print of it?
I'm sorry, I can't make home-made prints right now. My printer is rather old and doesn't do well. But if you get some glossy photo paper at Wal*Mart you can make your own, or if you let me make it a print on DA I can get it for you at base cost.

07. Can I see some examples of what I would get?
Of course. Please check the commissions page and scroll to the bottom where I keep a list of all of the commissions I've done.

08. What won't you draw?
I will not draw porn, mecha (robots or tech stuff), or frontal nudity. If I feel the subject of what you wish drawn is too risque or not suited to my talents, I reserve the right to reject the commission.

09. Can I use the image I commission for graphics, like website/journal layouts, icons, signatures or other types of graphics?
Yes. Since you commissioned it, you should be able to use it for those kinds of purposes.

10. Can I use the image for prints, products or other means that will generate a profit?
No. You may be commissioning the picture, but the rights to the image stay with me, so you cannot use it in any way that would generate profit. If you wish to attain the rights, double the price of the image and I will sign them over to you. (I do not claim ownership of any characters depicted in the image, only the actual image I draw)
